Taya Shawki

Taya Shawki is a professional dancer and makeup artist based in Los Angeles. Born and raised in Gothenburg, Sweden with Iraqi roots, Taya started her artistic journey as young as 3 years old. Taya’s goal-getter mentality landed her jobs with some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry, Ariana Grande, Beyoncé, Pharrell, Nicki Minaj and many more. Being the first Swedish dancer to break grounds on such caliber, paving the way for other Swedish dancers to do the same.

All whilst being a professional dancer, Taya became a certified makeup artist in 2012 and has ever since freelanced as a professional makeup artist. Taya spent some time working at M.A.C. Cosmetics in between touring in 2013-2014, fast forward to today, Taya is a successful and published makeup artist in Los Angeles and Dubai in magazines like VOGUE and Sayidaty. Known for her versatility and wide range of makeup styles, she can take on any challenge from glam to editorial to celebrity.
